Ginkgomed Company was founded in 2007. Since then, we have provided teaching models, teaching specimens, teaching slides, and clinical training aids for almost two decades. Along with the advance of image technology and difficulty sourcing specimens, we started to transform our substantial products into virtual products through digitization. Currently, 3D Anatomy Software and four sets of digital slides are available. The 3D Anatomy Software is used to help teachers prepare lecture notes and to assist students doing dissection in anatomy laboratory. It is also a review of human anatomy course. The four sets of digital slides can be used in the courses of medical histology (DSMH), medical pathology (DSMP), oral histology and oral pathology (OHOP), and animal histology (DSAH). In the future, more sets of digital slides will be created for the courses including embryology, neuroanatomy, parasitology, microbiology, hematology, zoology, botany, and biology.
The content of the company’s current website has been reformed again. It is not only a place to display what is available from Ginkgomed, but also a site where students can learn knowledge of Anatomy, Histology, and Neuroanatomy online. Images and explanation of scientific terms related to each course will be used to elaborate the structures to be learned at either macroscopic or microscopic level. All images are taken from our 3D Anatomy Software, digital slides, and other sources. Every scientific term is carefully selected to make sure its accuracy and universality. Text describing a term is also checked thoroughly for its suitability. These three kinds of knowledge pages will be gradually enriched. Image files of structures mentioned in Anatomy, Histology, and Neuroanatomy can also be downloaded when they are available.
Digitization Service is a newly added content. Detailed information about Microscopic Digitization and Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) technology is briefly explained. Our unique Plug-and-Play mode of observing digital slides is introduced. We encourage institutions and slide owners using this service to keep their precious prepared slides to be observed forever without a light microscope.
Bulletin Board is the place of releasing promotion offers and events associated with Ginkgomed. The first one is that a set of 100 prepared histology slides, H100ST, will be offered free of charge for purchasing one set of digital slides, DSMH. All announcements will be kept and accumulated.
